You Belong Here

You are loved for being you

Most of us usually bounce around between “I think I’ve got it together today” and “I am an unholy messy, twisty, confused, overwhelmed, stuck in the mud, rage filled, anxiety ridden, disaster of a human”.

Welcome to the club! You know who loves that about you? Your mat. And me! Everyone is in the same way.

Just make it simple

No confusing memberships forcing long term commitment. No costly passes that expire before you can use them. All classes have sliding scale fees available. No questions asked. No criteria to meet.

Commit to yourself - one class at a time. That is all you need to do. Showing up can feel difficult. I am always here for you.

find your peace… for you

If you don’t take care of yourself, you can’t help your family, friends, colleagues, or the community. This is your time for you. This is your practice to strengthen your peace and nurture your own heart centered healing and wellness.

It’s not selfish. It’s required. Take care of yourself.

Yoga is for every body: a commitment to Inclusivity & accessibility

A quick internet or social media search portrays yoga as something that is only for ripped, fit, bendy, athletic individuals standing on mountain tops or tropical resorts performing difficult postures or movement sequences.

This is intimidating, limiting, and honestly… a bunch of bullshit.

I’ve talked to so many people who say

  • “I can’t do that.”

  • “I don’t belong in there or fit in.”

  • “I’m not flexible at all.”

  • “I’m not strong enough or capable.”

  • “I have issue X that won’t let me do yoga”.

  • “Class passes are so expensive, I can’t keep it going.”

Few things get me more fired up than hearing that. The industrial complex of yoga in the west has blocked and excluded so many people.

The practice of yoga is far more than only physical postures and movement. I facilitate classes that are invitational, accessible, safe, and welcoming for all bodies, abilities, and experiences. All of my offerings come with no questions asked multiple pricing options to ensure anyone who wants to sign up, can sign up.

Email newsletter offering

1-2 times a month(ish) I write a blog post that explores various reflections on the practice of yoga, mindfulness, and movement. You can read them all here

I draw inspiration from books, podcasts, conversations, and the random everyday mundane occurrences that provide inspiration. Maybe its when I lose the studio keys, or try relish for the first time in a decade, or need to make big life decisions, or navigate life’s challenges such as depression, sobriety, and a living in a society that feels cold and cruel.

I send these reflection posts in my email newsletter straight to you. The email newsletter also includes other ways to share the practice with you including:

  • guided audio meditations

  • short videos of practice suggestions

  • deeper reflections

  • community & class updates

  • referrals to my friends in the yoga community

  • and more!

All of it straight from my heart to you as a way of offering additional resources to support you on your journey when you can’t make it into class.
